DescriptionArcutek will build a vulnerability scanning security product that will be designed to specifically identify vulnerable assets in an HPC environment. This technology, referred to as Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) content, will meet requirements in NIST Cyber Framework and will be compatible with Red Hat’s OpenSCAP. Arcutek develop HPC-specific SCAP content repository as of a comprehensive security audit product called HEAP.

Arcutek will engage production HPC sites, both state-of-the-art and modest to address the most common security needs specific to HPC components. Particular emphasis will be spent on data ingress and egress solutions unique to HPC environments. Also, of priority is scheduler solutions and means of connection compute resources. While storage security issues involving data-at-rest is also of interest, other items of HEAP scope will remain the focus of the first year of research.

(Extended abstract to be submitted tonight. I am submitting now just in case. Hopefully I can update before the deadline.)
