Biography
Doug Jennewein is Director of Research Computing at the University of South Dakota (USD) and has supported scientific computing at USD since 2003 when he built USD's first supercomputer from a mound of dumpster-bound CPUs. He currently architects, funds, and deploys research cyberinfrastructure comprising advanced networks, supercomputers, and big data archives. Jennewein has successfully directed cyberinfrastructure projects funded by the National Science Foundation, the US Department of Agriculture, and the SD Board of Regents. A USD alumnus, he graduated with a BA in Computer Science in 2001, MA in Mathematics in 2003, and MA in Computer Science in 2004.
