Virtualizing HPC Throughput Computing Environments
TimeTuesday, July 244:45pm - 5pm
DescriptionHigh Performance Computing (HPC) workloads have traditionally been run only on bare-metal hardware. However, performance of these highly parallel technical workloads has increased dramatically over the last decade with the introduction of increasingly sophisticated hardware support for virtualization. This talk will present our vision for virtualized HPC environments for throughput workloads, with the objective to improve system utilization and overall throughput while bringing in the various benefits of virtualization.
